FULL NAME: Christian Lee Scott
OCCUPATION: clinical psychologist
HOBBIES: acoustic guitar, cross-country running, tactile art
ABOUT: Though he came from a relatively poor upbringing, Christian's parents always had high aspirations for him. Even with monetary difficulties that often left him socially sidelined in an otherwise-wealthy community, his parents did all they could to encourage him to dream as big as he wanted. As a young child he was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa -- a progressive eye condition that would eventually lead to his total blindness. This mattered very little to his parents, who were determined to see him through as the first college graduate of their small immediate family. And even after fully losing his vision in his sophomore year of undergraduate studies, Christian graduated with honors and immediately set out to pursue a terminal degree.
Now he is a licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in work with children and young adults with disabilities. Christian balances his taxing schedule with as much enjoyment as he can muster, occasionally playing the guitar and singing at local coffee shops. Always one for the familiar, even the small recesses he allows himself are guided by routine and order.
